A good old Yorkshire pub full of life and is for me the no1 . pub in Yorkshire for beer. The public make you feel welcome and the regulars treat you like they are your mates. I love to go to the hermit and I live in Lancashire. Look out for a local called peter he is a great bloke and makes you feel at home. Well done to all at the hermit in Higham Barnsley.

What an amazing find! Not only was it situated in the most beautiful location on top of the moor, but it was a real English pub that served fantastic FRESH food, cooked to order! We had the warmest welcome and will definitely return to sample some more of their wonderful dishes.
