Just had the most delightful evening at the hole, after being disappointed a couple of years ago i haven't been back but what a change. As a wine fan, i have to say the wine list was a huge!! The portions were a bit bigger than we had expected but better that way than too small. Really loved it , will be back.

Myself and girlfriend visited Bath in the summer, where this restaurant was recommended to us. Although the quality and presentation of the food was ok, choices from the menu were very limited. I recall- 1 fish dish, 1 meat dish, and 1 vegetarian option. The starter and dessert menu, on the same level. Unbelievably the waiting staff who were more concerned in dealing with a group of American tourists ($$$$!!) seemed oblivious to other dinners, and more importantly didn't know the simplest of things about their menu. Needless to say we left the restaurant both disappointed and £95 lighter. I would advise looking at other options when eating out in Bath.

Visited on 7.2.07. Staff extremely attentive and helpful. Tried the set menu, which was very reasonable and the food was fresh and tasty. Ambience was lovely and will definitely visit here again.

We didn't know what to expect from the outside of the restaurant but it came strongly recommended by friends. The candlelit restaurant ambiance was lovely, the food was great and the service attentive and unobtrusive. We will definitely go back.
