What an absolutely great little pub. Fantastic staff so polite and welcoming. Good selection of well kept drinks. Food was very very nice to the point we went back the following night. Highly recommend if you are in the area of this great little pub.

Brilliant stay. Lovely staff especially the lady who seemed to do Everthing from waiting bar, waitresses and cleaning rooms. She was so helpful and friendly. Food was so good, homely, decent portions and tasty.

Ate here Thursday 25th June. The two of us decided to do some small plates. We ordered 6 ranging from squid to the mushrooms which was all really good. We had some left over and Julie offered a box for us to take away what we hadn’t eaten. Tony sorted our table quickly while Cameron sorted our drinks all the staff are really nice and accommodating we visit regularly now and have had no complaints.

We were up camping over the weekend & booked in for a meal for my husbands birthday. The pub was lovely, seemed welcoming and we was places straight to our table. Me my husband and our 4 children. Our table was located next to the bar which wasn’t ideal as the bar was more of a tap room and the language wasn’t the greatest for a 6 year old to hear. We ordered our food and waited 40 minutes before it was served. Which wasn’t a problem at all, we didn’t complain we just waited. By the time it had come and we had all ate it had probably been 70 minutes total. We where then waiting for the waiter to come back so we could order deserts to be told by what I assume was the manager - well that table needs to be ready in 20 minutes as we have a party coming in. How this was our fault I do not know? We still had to wait another 10 minutes before we could order desserts. Ruined our meal as feeling the need to rush. And a bill of £165 to be spoken to the way we was , was not professional or welcoming. Lovely food. Lovely pub. Shame about the staff.

I think we were unlucky ? The roast potatoes were dry, hard lumps, nothing tasted fresh or homemade. Gravy was lovely. One meal took a good fifteen minutes after everyone had already had theirs to be brought out. The service was poor, nobody asked if we wanted desserts .. just a really strange atmosphere. I wouldn't reccomend bringing children. One child was asked what ice cream was wanted at the start and the other not asked at all...but was brought out a flavour she doesn't like ... apparently there wasn't other flavours available other than strawberry. We were sat by staff , near to the bar area as a family with young children which a customer must have had bad wind that day sat on the stool, lots of foul language too but again maybe just unlucky where seated , staff didn't seem bothered ? We didn't really have any expectations, just wanted a Sunday lunch near to where we were staying. Please be aware pork is advertised but no longer available. I do believe customer service is priority regardless of the quality of food. We were advised not to come here by a local family but decided to try for ourselves.

recently visited Hope & Anchor and had a great experience. The food was delicious, well-presented, and served fresh. There was a good variety on the menu, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was excellent throughout the visit. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were happy to answer questions and ensured everything was running smoothly. In terms of value for money, Hope & Anchor offers a great balance of quality and price. The food, service, and overall atmosphere make it well worth the cost. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience and would happily visit again. You need to book in advance.

Good honest food served by friendly staff. We have just moved to Flookburgh and that was our second visit and we will visit more often as it will be our local.

Lovely meal on Friday at the Hope & Anchor. The pub has a great atmosphere & the staff were very friendly. We'll definitely come here again, when we are in the area

Visited during the May bank holiday weekend and despite it being busy the service was great. Good choice in the menu and the food portions were very generous but most importantly really well cooked and tasty. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. It is dog friendly and also has rooms although we didn’t stay there. Would highly recommend if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed
