A stylish boutique hotel in the classic Hotel du Vin style, the property is located in the area known as The Mount, close to historic York’s city centre. Hotel du Vin York is a unique luxury boutique hotel set in a beautiful grade II listed building that dates back to the early 19th century. Formerly a private home and an orphanage the hotel is home to the trademark Hotel du Vin Bistro serving classic European cuisine with a contemporary edge. Here you will find ‘simple classics’ that change seasonally, with head chef Ricky Murray (ex-Malmaison Leeds) adding his own selections daily, all supporting a philosophy of using the finest and freshest local produce, cooked simply, priced sensibly. An extensive and eclectic wine list is a key feature of the hotel. In addition to the main list, which includes an impressive array by the glass, there is a small daily selection of good-value wines to complement the menu. The bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
