Came with friends for a meal on Tuesday evening. The staff who waited on were very friendly , but the meal was really only average. There were only 2 other parties in at the time, bit we had to wait a long time for both first and main corses. I had a starter with pancetta which was hard as it had been overcooked and so difficult to chew. The main course was hake which was cooked well, brut the dish as a whole had far too much oil. Reading other reviews it seems hit and miss as to whether the meal is exceptional or average depending on the day. Has put me off going back unfortunately.

Came for dinner on Saturday 29th January - our first visit and it certainly will not be the last. Absolutely superb service, great staff and the food was amazing to say the least.

Very disappointed. Waited an hour for starters. When the main courses arrived, three of the four dishes were lukewarm, and the pasta dishes had dried up. Perhaps the main meals had been kept on the hot plate because the starters had been forgotten ? The waitress asked whether everything was alright and before I could reply , she rushed off . When she did return and I told her of my disappointment she just said that she would let the chef know. And then when she came with the bill, she asked again whether everything was alright . She obviously hadn’t listened to me or told the chef of my disappointment. We won’t be rushing back.

Restaurant was half empty but still waited over an hour for our food. You ask the staff 3 times for a high chair & they ‘forget’ 3 times. The place is like faulty towers. There’s a reason you can get a last minute table on a weekend, it’s somewhere to avoid!

On Monday my Wife and I had one of those rare moments to spend the day together child free and we chose to take a drive from Preston to the little picturesque village of Roby Mill to have lunch at Il Mulino and it was fabulous. A table for two next to the Wine Cellar where you can choose wine to suit your meal and budget….there are some very special bottles to choose from! We had Garlic King Prawns and Chicken Livers for Starters both delicious, Chicken Supreme and Salmon for main (empty plates) along with desserts, the names of which I cannot remember but needless to say there was none left! I ordered a Cortado coffee to finish off which came with a glass of fresh iced water on the side which is a lovely touch. To summarise, we had one of the best meals for a long long time, the staff very faultless and the Charcuterie makes this a must visit establishment…thanks everyone…we WILL be back

Saturday evening meal for four, and an outstanding experience!!! Menu is not the biggest, but this really is a plus, because the range of meals covered is thought out wonderfully. The decor and overall ambiance is beautiful, and the staff were delightful. The food was truly excellent and portion sizes were just the large size of perfect. Whoever the chef is really knows their stuff, and we will certainly be returning. Recommended on all levels..

Fantastic!!! Visited with four others, and we all absolutely loved it. Food was fantastic, staff attentive and friendly, loved the ambience and decor. Simply could not find fault with anything. Will definitely returning.

Food is delicious!! The menu is fairly small which I think is a good thing and there are some delicious and really authentic Italian dishes! Also an opportunity to try something a bit different! The staff are welcoming and friendly and generally this is a lovely place to go! Definitely recommend for those who want a genuine taste of Italy!!

We found the menu very limited and very poor on vegetarian choices

Too long a wait in between courses. At least an hour for the starter to be served from ordering and the same again an hour between the starter and main course. The staff were very inattentive and they never even said goodbye when we was leaving. My husband his friend had the shin beef and pasta. It was a pile of slop on the plate. I however had the salmon and gnocchi which was very tasty. Overall a very underwhelming experience. I could do better myself. The quality doesn’t reflect on the pricing. Very over priced for the standard of food. I was expecting so much more. We was treating our friends but it felt a little embarrassing. Stunning looking venue inside and out but lots needs working in my opinion. We wouldn’t recommend or be returning. Pity really.
