Il vecchio is the best restaurant in the area.My family live in Shaw and think nothing of travelling to Heywood for a meal. The staff are friendly,professional and go out of their way to give you the Italian experience.

My husband and I have been going to II Vecchio for the past 12 months. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant the food is excellent and the staff are so welcoming. We have tried other Italians but always return here! There is a good atmosphere good service and good food.

I have used Mario's last restaurant Piccolo's for more than ten years, so naturally I am a regular at Il Vecchio.
The food service and atmosphere is always excellent, and I would recommend a visit.

Recommended by a friend on Saturday, we managed to book at table for 2 at 7;30 that night! The restaurant was already buzzing with the bar area full and it seemed most tables occupied. The food was delicious and served prompted by attentive waitresses who returned periodically to check we were satisfied.
I would definitely recommend Il Vecchio for all types of occasions as they have larger tables to suit bigger parties. We enjoyed the evening and the buzzing atmosphere helped enormously. Keep up the good work!

me and the mrs went to eat here at the weekend and i enjoyed it.excellent atmosphere and the food was excellent aswell.i really enjoyed the bottle of wine aswell.ive just discovered piccolos mean small in italian and i must admit its not the biggest restaurant ive been too but that's the thing its small but it delivers such good atmosphere.ive read some reviews of the place and i cannot find any faults.i also discovered tonight that the restaurant is moving to a bigger place.excellent i cant wait to see what its gonna look like.i was speaking to one of the staff there and he said its going to be the best italian in rochdale.with all that in mind i cant wait to see the end product and how big the place is .the waiter said it could be may when it opens.so folks if anyone wants too try a descent italian try this place.
