Have visited Inside Out on a number of occasions as luckily it is very near to our home. We only visit Inside Out on special occasions as that is exactly what it is - special! The food is more'ish, the wine is also more'ish and the staff are very friendly and complete their jobs very well indeed. I love everything about Inside Out - it is the place to eat! Definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic. Relaxed but personal, friendly atmosphere.
The menu is varied & each dish is created in its own unique way.
It surely deserves a Michelin Star.

We visited 'inside out' for the tapas evening. The tapas was basic, very small portions and expensive. For example the potatoes dish was a single potato chopped up, basically don’t go to tapas evening here, go to pond in town. Pond is slightly more expensive but x3 the portion sizes and they use more exotic ingredients. (pond is fab!)
To make thinks worse our bill had an added bottle of wine! Which we didn’t order
The total for 4 people was shocking considering we got hardly any food!
Also it was a birthday and we brought a cake so we instructed no deserts please, the waitress came round an asked so we said gave her the nod to go away. To my horror we saw the boss in the back instructing her to ask for deserts even though she knew we had a secretive cake waiting!
Overall the worst meal and service I’ve had in a long time.

I visited Inside Out last night for my birthday and have to say how disappointed I was.
The restaurant itself is well decorated and laid out however would make the following comments.
We were handed the menu which looked contemporary from the outside only to open it to find a piece of A4 paper slipped inside with an unattractive looking menu; this set the tone for me in terms of the rest of the quality we were to receive. We both struggled to find a starter and eventually just chose a main course of red snapper, squid, queenies in a sweet chilli sauce - £14. We were shown to our table where a waiter arrived with a large flat wicker basket containing three pieces of bread, two of which were the same, and asked us to choose - not much of a choice really! We got the impression that the basket may have been more full had we arrived an hour earlier.
The main course arrived and we both looked at each other and said "where's the rest of it"! We were not expecting large portions but this barely made starter size. The fish fillet itself measured approx 4" by 1" and there was only one. The garlic mash that we'd asked for was grey and had the look that it had been put into a blender - if you've ever done that you'll know what I mean. As for the sweet chilli sauce, there were no chillies as far as I could see or taste. As it was my birthday we tried to make an evening of it as I did want to leave so we decided to go for the cheese and biscuits which were £6 each of two for £11! However we formed an opinion as to what we would receive based on the main course so we paid the bill, left, went to Sainsburys and bought some cheese and biscuits and went home.
Altogether I have to say a most disappointing experience.

Four of us had tapas here last night and have to say were disappointed at the portion sizes (very small) and the cost i.e. BBQ seafood scewers = 1 scewer with 2 prawns, 1 small scallop, red pepper and onion = £8
Not good value at all. We would not visit on a tapas night again but would probably dine here on other occasions.

We visited Inside out last night, at 6.30pm on a wet Tuesday. We had not visited this restaurant since 2005 and after a good report from a friend, we decided to try it. We were the first to arrive and were given the drinks we asked for. However, I had been on their website earlier that day, choosing from that menu. I was aware it was a sample menu and was prepared for some changes to it, but the menu we got was completely different. So we took some time deciding and feeling a little disappointed our original choices weren't there.
Hubby chose the smoked mackeral pate and granary toast for starter and I had fried squid with a ginger and chilli dressing over chinese salad. Both were declared very tasty. Hubbys main course was chicken with pesto on a bed of chorizo mash and a small side of chips (which was included) I had chump of lamp with creamed mushrooms on a bed of spinich and beetroot crisps and a side of veg of the day, which was broccolli. Shame the crisps were very burnt! I didn't fancy any of the sweets but hubby had orange and chocolate pot, which was small and I thought expensive at £5, but that seems to be the rate for puds!
Our total bill was £61.45 which included a pint and half of lager and a bottle of wine at £13.50
Still the meal was very enjoyable and by this time the restaurant was about three quarters full which says alot I think for the quality of the food and especially in these times of "credit crunch"!

Dined here on Friday evening and loved it. The food, the service, the wine and the atmosphere were all excellent. The restaurant was busy, but the service and food was great - no long waits or food thrown on a plate like you get at most places when it's busy.
Friendly waiters & waitresses and we mustn't forget the excellent bar man as well - always so friendly.
We love it hear and will be back!!

Excellent and innovative British food produced by the owner/chef. Lovely atmosphere, with friendly, courteous service. Good price range for first class food. Visited now for several years and the high standards are always maintained.

Visited Inside Out for my Birthday on Saturday 6th April. What an amazing meal. Great choice on the menu and reasonably priced considering how good the food is! Would recommend to everyone

Have eaten here on numerous occasions and cannot fault the food> I think it is really good value for money if you choose the set dinner or set lunch
