Into the Blue at Shoreham-by-Sea has built up a fantastic reputation over the last decade as one of the best seafood restaurants in Sussex. They pride themselves on delivering quality home-cooked food combining classic and contemporary flavours. Experienced Head Chef David Henderson’s high-end bistro dishes offer plenty of exciting and innovative fish, seafood and steak options including modern European and fusion choices. There are always Daily Specials available too. Into The Blue supports local businesses, sourcing produce from as near as possible, including British sparkling and still wines, and there are regular wine tasting events here.

It was our first visit and we enjoyed an excellent lunch, sitting outside in the breeze. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had a bouillabaisse and half lobster with generous portions. The chilled slightly frizzante Italian red was perfect on a summer’s day. The service was sublime - so relaxed and the staff were very accommodating when we asked to sit outside.

My niece and i went to celebrate our birthdays (2 days apart) The weather was so hot but they had made great efforts to keep the restaurant as cool as possible. We were tempted by the specials but ended up sharing the scallops and the crab and watermelon starters which were both delicious. We both had the monkfish which was beautifully cooked with vegetables and potatoes. The sauce was delicate and enhanced but did not overpower the monkfish. We were full but couldn't resist sharing the almond tart with caramelised apple. So light. The perfect end to a delightful meal. The staff were so helpful and efficient despite the overwhelming heat in the kitchen.

We've been to this fantastic place a few times since 2021 and it never disappoints. We had starters from the a la carte, mains from the specials. The waitress advised that the sea bream is better partnered with salad than chips and i'm so glad she did. Hubby had the paella which was more seafood and meat than rice. We decided to have a rare night out just the 2 of us when our friends had to cancel - I'm so glad we did. Into the Blue is in the top 5 of my favourite places to eat and as a pescatarian that's saying something! We will be back soon. PS the Sicilian organic white was perfect too.

We visited as a birthday treat; and it really was! It's hard to find a 'real' fish destination, but this certainly fits the bill. Fantastic quality and range of choice keeping that delicate balance between classics done well and innovation if you want it. We've already been back and this is now our Fishy home

2nd visit was as good as the first! It's heartning to see a such good restaurant thriving and busy all of the time. The staff are well-trained and friendly and the chef is visible too, giving off the vibes of a good family run establishment.

Was recommended this restaurant, and am so glad. Food was lovely, restaurant really comfortable, busy but not loud, servers were great, good choice on the menu, there was 4 of us and we all finished all of our 3 courses, will definitely be returning,
