Veggie Eater
Where to eat in Alty on a Saturday night that you don't have to book!Try Ishta this came on a recommendation from a friend of a friend and last Saturday we turned up to try without booking. What a fab time we had the owner is friendly and so are his staff which after being in alot of curry houses is a bonus. The decor is modern and light although no music on when we arrived was a little of putting but they must have read our thoughts and hey presto music in our ears by the time we sat at our table. The menu is extensive which is why it took us so long to order. We started with the Popadoms with a good selection of chutney's and then straight into the mains as a vegetarian I find it very difficult to choice a curry that will taste good and choosing the veg kashmiri here was the best thing I have picked in a long time. The creamy curry was define but with the peshwari naan I was in heaven. My friend had the chicken tikka which was good even with the chips! The good thing about this restaurant was didn't feel rushed like is some well know places in the city centre, we took our time with a bottle of rose and enjoyed the good food. Well worth a second visit soon.
