We went to Jacks in Portishead for New Year's Eve and thought the set menu was overpriced. The food was OK, but the portions were very small and there was no atmosphere whatsoever. It is great to have a restaurant like this in Portishead, but I think they need to seriously review their menu and include vegetables with the dishes. Pam & John Slattery, Portishead.

Absolutely expensive, nice location, however, you can not justify this prices, we were really looking for the new bars @ the Marina, but they are to expensive, we are all going back to the local Pubs

I really enjoyed my meal at Jacks. I thought the food was of a very high standard, whilst at the same time the menu was interesting and different. Can't complain about the extensive wine list either. It is in a great location (just opposite the Waitrose by the water). So pleased to have this restaurant now in Portishead!
