I have lost count how many times we have eaten here and the food is consistently great. The staff have the right mix of friendly chat and attentive service. Dave changes the menu often enough that there is always something new to try. He even laughs at my dads bad jokes, bless! see you all soon no doubt

We have just enjoyed lunch at the Jesmond Brasserie. The food was very enjoyable, and the service good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very quiet. Perhaps they need to advertise more, as I'm sure customers would return, as it is such good value

Visited earlier in the year only to find that the chef Paul Amer was no longer there. Although his name was still being used at the door. The food was certainly not of the same standard and sadly I was disappointed as was looking forward to quality cuisine, this it was not.

Quite simply the best meal I've ever came across in the North East. Excellent food at more than reasonable prices. I will definitely be returning as often and as soon as possible.

The best meal I've ever eaten in Newcastle. Just go!!

Ate dinner at Amers on saturday 16th August 2008 after reading recommendations on this site and in local press. Three course set dinner is not available on Saturdays although it is still advertised as such on Amers own website. Food, like the restaurant itself, was alright but not anything special. In my opinion it is worth paying a little more and dining at the Jesmond Dene Hotel.

Probably the best restaurant in the North East.Innit.

My wife and I were taken to this establishment by a business partner, on arrival we were greeted by a very friendly host who also turned out to be our waitress for the evening. The restaurant was quiet but it was a Monday evening, tranquil music helped to create a relaxing ambiance. The Menu had a select amount of items on it, however seemed to have something to suit the culinary needs of any individual. I opted for the lamb which was absolutely superb. The dessert plate for two offered a range of sweet delights. The waitress was attentive and very friendly, The whole evening was thoroughly enjoyable with a combination of good food , excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere Amers is defiantly somewhere we will be visiting again.

My wife and I and our children went for the "Early Bird" menu (before 7pm) last night. The service was very good, the food excellent at the price, and there was a calm ambience with low volume unobtrusive music. The meal for 4 including 8 drinks and 3 courses each for my wife and I plus 2 each for the kids in total came to a very reasonable £76. We all tried each others food and of the starters the vote went to the crab salad, the main course winner was the carp. Assiette of chocolate won the pudding selections hands down. Before we left I txtd some friends to recommend booking. Definitely one of the best kept secrets in Newcastle.
