About Kesarum

Késarum, meaning saffron in Sanskrit, is a modern plant-based bistro and bar on Southampton’s QE2 Mile. It’s housed in a Grade II-listed former bank building fitted out with upcycled antique furniture, sustainably sourced timber and a bar that used to be a church altar. Incorporating seasonal and - wherever possible - organic, locally grown produce, the menu explores culinary styles and cuisines from all over the Indian subcontinent, daring to defy perceptions of Indian, vegan and vegetarian dining. Késarum is open evenings Thursday to Saturday and for Saturday lunch.

We visited Kesarum after the launch of the new menu. The new menu is superlative, as always. The choice of dishes, presentation and taste is a straight five-star. I highly recommend a visit this festive season

My wife and I had a fantastic meal at Kesarum. They were on a new menu so offered 20% off which was a nice touch and seemed to really appreciate our feedback. The food was a little more experimental than I am used to but I really appreciated the different flavours and the explanations of everything. Service was impecable and it was a lovely athmosphere. Top marks.

This was not just a special meal, but an experience. The food was delicious, clever and beautifully presented. The service was fantastic too, all the elements of the food explained clearly, and I really liked the fact that Késarum wanted our feedback, and strive to be as good as they can be. We will definitely recommend to friends and be back for more.

Best plant-based dishes in the south! Warm and inviting atmosphere, incredible service, authentic dishes you won’t find anywhere else. An absolute must for foodies. You’re not just eating out, it’s an experience and a journey of discovery.
