I live a busy Town and to be able to come away and find such a quaint, friendly and I might add very busy pub which is set in the middle of no where was absolutely heaven. The Kicking Donkey have a selection of great well kept beers and the menu can please any one. I requested something which was not on the menu and instantly was told that it wasnt a problem which makes a change to most places. The bar staff and waitress's were so friendly and at no point was there ever any attitude if some one asked for something out of the ordinary. Well done to you all and good luck for the future.

Went to Kicking Donkey for lunch on fathers day 2007. Food was 'chips with everything' and burger bar chips at that. Food was greasy, restaurant was dirty including glasses on the table that had dried on wine inside. Waiting staff were rude and abrupt. Highly disappointed, this place has gone downhill since it used to be a favourite place to eat. Will not be going there again!

Whilst staying at Brokerswood Country Park we visited the Kicking Donkey on several of occasions and were very impressed with the wonderful hospitality and excellent food. You must try it out !!
