The Billy is a popular pub in the heart of Glastonbury serving British and Tex-Mex food along with Cask Marque real ales. Live music on Saturdays.

About King William Inn

Known locally as ‘The Billy', this friendly pub is positioned in the heart of Glastonbury in the market place. The characterful black and white building has lots of fresh flowers in hanging baskets and some outside seating. Inside there is a main bar and dining area, to the rear an old fashioned Skittle Alley, pool room and a walled sun-trap beer garden for al fresco dining. They have the Cask Marque and offer Butcombe and Guest Ales, Fosters and Kronie, Stowford Press and Addlestones cider, Guinness and John Smiths Smooth. Food-wise they serve breakfasts, bar snacks like organic baguettes, jackets and pizzas, a separate children's menu and a 'Best of British' selection with locally sourced pub classics. There is also a 'Happy Cactus' Tex Mex menu offering Nachos, Burritos and Fajitas. The Sunday Carvery is very popular offering two meats and one vegetarian roasts. Live music on Saturdays always attracts a crowd and a good atmosphere.

Wendy & Dave
Highly recommended A relaxing homely atmosphere. Good Home cooking at its best We usually visit Glastonbury on a Sunday and call in to the King William for the carvery a veritable feast. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
Endothebar
We don't often eat out, but this place is worth a try. Unpretentious public house, with a good local trade, but the food is not the usual "boil-in-a-bag" stuff. We have eaten the (surprisingly good) baguettes with unusually imaginative fillings, fish and chips (it's almost next door to a self-styled "award winning" fish and chip shop), and we have eaten Christmas day lunch here too, which was not as expensive as many pub/restaurants would charge, and better than any other I have sampled. try it. You'll love it.
