About The Kingfisher

The Kingfisher on the outskirts of Kirkham is a family pub with an extensive menu offering loads of choice ranging from Light Lunches such as hot ciabattas, sandwiches and tortilla wraps to burgers and hot dogs, homemade pies and puddings, salads, steaks and grill dishes plus a whole raft pf pub classics such as Lamb Henry and Fish & Chips. There are also vegetarian choices and separate Specials, Gluten-free and Children's menus. Food is served right through from 12 noon daily and when weather permits there’s an extensive outside space for al fresco dining and drinking as well as a play area. The Kingfisher also has a function room that seats up to 30 with various buffet menu packages available. Regular quiz nights here too.

I come to the Kingfisher quite often with a friend or friends. We have always found your menu and the meals quite excellent. We are particularly impressed with vegetarian options. However I brought my son on Sunday to sample the Sunday lunch and I’m afraid we were disappointed. The meats were thin sliced like you would have on a sandwich. Roast potatoes were dry and tasteless. Vegetables were apalling. A few pieces of carrot, swede and green beans. Soggy and tasteless. Really sorry but it was not up to scratch at all. I ordered roast pork. My son opted for all three meats, but was dismayed when the plated was overloaded with double the veg and potatoes and TWO massive yorkshire puds. It was overfacing and off putting. Sorry I cant give a better review. Your normal menu is great and the food fantastic so the disappointment was great.

Myself and a few friends quite often dine at the Kingfisher, the food is very good, it always has a choice of ale and the staff are very efficient and friendly. We will return again.

We recently visited The Kingfisher for my birthday tea with my granddaughter and her friend my husband and our best friends. The service was exceptional and the food really nice. We have been a few times before and will continue to go again next time we're up here. It felt very relaxing and it's really good value for money. We all chose a different meal and we all enjoyed our food

Tried the Kingfisher for the first time since being new to the area. Staff very welcoming. Waited half an hour for our food to come after ordering which is acceptable as the food was being made fresh. Our meals arrived piping hot and plentiful. Very enjoyable so we will return.
