Just for clarity I have already done a review on TripAdvisor. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Liverpool. Having worked in all branches of catering before I retired, I do appreciate good food and service, although if I'm honest I can be bit picky. L20, as part of Hugh Baird college has proved to me over the past couple of years that with the right attitude and training, young people can shine in the kitchen and front of house. Our meals yesterday included a wonderfully filled crab ravioli, a really tender venison loin main and a creamy panda cottage with a fruit topping to balance. We have never had a bad meal or experience at L20 and have already booked our Christmas meal. I cannot recommend this little gem highly enough

Cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough! I guarantee you will not find food at this quality and price anywhere on the planet and as a veggie, I have never experienced such amazing flavours and textures. My group of friends and I eat here regularly - the staff are so helpful and accommodating and the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. We love it here and never even think of going anywhere else. A place of learning that could teach many other (inferior, yet far more expensive) establishments a thing or two. If you haven't already tried this place, book now!

Another superb meal at L20. We travel from The Wirral to this excellent restaurant and recommend it widely to friends. Great menu design, excellent cooking and wonderful flavours coupled with a friendly welcome. Just wish you were open evenings!

What a gem of a place. The food is presented beautifully and is always delicious We always buy a loaf to take home as the bread is superb. No complaints whatsoever. We will be back soon.

Yesterday was our first time at L20 restaurant. We had heard some great things about it so thought we’d give it a go. It was wonderful. The food was so good. Great ingredients cooked beautifully and so nicely presented. The front of house staff really welcomed us and looked after us. We’ll definitely be going back.

My wife try to get here for lunch at least every 6 weeks or so. Was quieter yesterday, the students on holiday and fewer customers. However, no lessening of the superb quality of the food and service. From my creamy Burata starter right through to the silky smooth caramel cheesecake with popcorn icecream, all 6 dishes that my wife and I had were well cooked, beautifully presented and so delicious. We will be back in September when the restaurant reopens and get our reservations in for the Christmas meals in December
