On Sunday 5th August 2012 my wife and I decided to try lakeside carvery, big mistake!!! 1st thing - told person serving that plate was cold! reply "I can pop it under grill for you". I declined the offer and asked for beef, the only alternative being turkey, I then continued down the servery and selected my vegetables. We sat at our table and began to eat only to find that all the food was cold. At this point bear in mind that the time was 12.45, carvery begins at 1200. When I was asked if everything was ok, I made my complaint and was told I should have said before and something could have been done. (microwaved perhaps?) My wife and I finished our drinks, not the meal!! I registered my complaint in the comments book and we left. No offer of compensation or apology was given. At £8.95 this carvery is overpriced compared with other locations on the isle of wight. I am a very angry Sandown resident.
