About L’Aquila Sunny Bank

L’Aquila opened in Sunny Bank in Autumn 2023 and is a sister restaurant to the popular L’Aquila on the edge of Heaton Park in Prestwich. Expect a traditional Italian menu with a modern twist. Lots of pizza, pasta, fish and meat choices with popular dishes including the Spare Ribs for a starter and the 28-day-matured Fillet Steak as a main. The food is accompanied by an ever-changing selection of natural, organic, biodynamic wines from small Italian producers, local craft beers and sustainable soft drinks and spirits. Open from 5pm every day except Mondays and from 3pm at weekends.

We recently visited L'Aquila Suuny Bank to celebrate my daughters birthday. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was really nice. We had a mix of meals pizza, lasagne, spaghetti bolognaise & sea bass. We all enjoyed our meals. Very nice restaurant and I can definitely recommend it. Good for families and celebrations.

Food was nice! However, there seemed to be a lack of communication between kitchen and servers. We ordered sides but when our mains came out, there were no sides…we were then told they ran out of said sides, we asked for a replacement and never received said placements - other issues like this happened throughout the night.

Excellent food and hosts , steak was excellent and more than enough, we had prawns and mushroom starters couldn’t fault any of the food. Very pleasant and nice atmosphere . Looking forward to the next visit

Every now and again something surprises you. We had stopped coming to this restaurant but we bobbed in just as a last resort. I am so glad we did, changing Management in December has changed the restaurant for the better staff are excellent and food was brilliant. Tha k you for making our night and we will be back.
