About Macklins at The Riverside

Situated on the banks of the River Arun in the pretty West Sussex village of Pulborough, Macklins at the Riverside is a smartly appointed coffee shop and bistro at the heart of the local community.  Owners Tom and Bev have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious food and drink along with exceptional service. Macklins is open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday to Sunday and the bistro is open in the evenings Thursday to Saturday. And don’t miss the Sunday roasts. In the warmer summer months the outside area is ideal to soak up the sunshine and throughout the year there is a regular roster of events, including live music and Murder Mystery nights. Macklins is also a great choice for weddings and all kinds of private events and functions.

The best Sunday Roast - absolutely delicious. I had vegetarian and it was great. My friends had the meat and raved about it. The best roast potatoes and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. Would definitely recommend. The staff were friendly and a lovely venue - what's not to love. Be returning again soon.

Macklin’s served up the best roast we’ve had at a restaurant. It was presented well, piping hot and huge portions of meat and all the trimmings. The cauliflower cheese was to die for, as was the delicious gravy. The service was 10/10 too. Great value for money. We’ll be back. To Tom and Bev and your team, thank you for making our Sunday so special.

Macklins is a great addition to Pulborough and provides an alternative to the usual food and drink venues. Sunday's roast was delicious with plenty of variety and very large portions! Keep up the good work!

We turned up just to be told that there was a party going on and they are not doing food only what's being served outside (pizza) so was disappointed as we had this booked for 2 weeks for my wife's birthday and then couldn't get any food so we had to change plans last minute
