About Macklins at The Riverside

Situated on the banks of the River Arun in the pretty West Sussex village of Pulborough, Macklins at the Riverside is a smartly appointed coffee shop and bistro at the heart of the local community.  Owners Tom and Bev have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious food and drink along with exceptional service. Macklins is open for breakfast and lunch Wednesday to Sunday and the bistro is open in the evenings Thursday to Saturday. And don’t miss the Sunday roasts. In the warmer summer months the outside area is ideal to soak up the sunshine and throughout the year there is a regular roster of events, including live music and Murder Mystery nights. Macklins is also a great choice for weddings and all kinds of private events and functions.

We turned up just to be told that there was a party going on and they are not doing food only what's being served outside (pizza) so was disappointed as we had this booked for 2 weeks for my wife's birthday and then couldn't get any food so we had to change plans last minute

An excellent Sunday roast, full of great food. The garlic flavoured broccoli is a favourite as is the cabbage and bacon. The live music is a lovely accompaniment.

First time we have been last night and the food was absolutely beautiful, and the service was amazing. We had our sons with us and made us all feel so comfortable and they even said when left what a good time. Everything had amazing flavour and amazing portions will definitely be back!

Burgers were delicious. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Waited a little for or food as they were down a chef - but was worth the wait. We’ll certainly go back.
