On the 11th June I visited Marcello restaurant with my wife at about 7pm to eat as it was my birthday and our anniversary. Sadly my experience was such that I am unlikely to return. There was just one waitress (an A level student) serving resulting in tables not being cleared our glasses were dirty and lengthy delays in taking orders and lengthy delays for the food and drink to come to the table. I do not blame the waitress but one waitress for about 20 or so customers is poor. I had white bait as a starter but it was clearly not fresh white bait breaded and cooked by the chef, it must have come from a pre frozen shop prepared packet. How hard would it be for the chef to prepare fresh white bait. There were at least 3 Rissottos on the menu and one on the speciall's board surely the board is meant to be different food to that of the menu. Perhaps I was unlucky but local restaurants rely on word of mouth and unless there is a dramatic change it is not one I would recommend.
