Matthew's Kitchen is a family-run Mediterranean seafood restaurant on the High Road in Whetstone, North London, where love and passion shine through in every dish and service. We pride ourselves on sourcing sustainable fish and seafood fresh from Billingsgate Market, offering a carefully curated à la carte and set menu. From classic Fish & Chips and Moules to Seafood Mixed Grill, Roasted Monkfish Tail, and Grilled Half Lobster, our menu celebrates the best of the sea. A standout is our Grilled Whole Sea Bream, alongside a special MK Shellfish Platter sharing for 2 and daily specials on the blackboard. For those seeking something different, we also serve a Dry-Aged Rib-Eye Steak and have a dedicated Kids Menu. Open for dinner Tuesday to Sunday and for weekend lunches, Saturday, and Sunday. Fantastic family-run restaurant on High Street Whetstone ! I highly recommend Matthews Kitchen , the food is on another level. The fish is incredibly fresh, the happy hours cocktails was delicious and the staff were so helpful and caring, making sure we enjoyed every moment. We had cocktails (fantastic!) and a lovely bottle of Albariño, which was a very good choice. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Thank you, Matthews Kitchen! We will definitely be coming again and recommending you to others.

Specially enjoyed the haddock and pea croquettes special, the second time I've had it. Dover sole excellent and quite large, as always. Thanks to Angela for putting the effort into the Halloween decorations, it was fun to spot them here and there. The most expensive Chardonnay, a plain Bourgogne Blanc but from highly respected négociant Maison Roche de Bellene, is indeed costly, but worth it for a treat.

Mathews Kitchen is an absolute gem for seafood lovers. The service is warm and welcoming — service with a smile. The seafood is wonderfully fresh, and every dish feels carefully prepared. The ceviche is a standout favourite, bursting with flavour, and the tuna special was fantastic. A lovely family-run restaurant that’s well worth a visit!
