Yesterday lunchtime my husband and i decided to eat at Mex Cantina. As i have previously worked in a mexican restaurant we were looking forward to this meal. We were very disappointed as this food was very unlike the mexican food we have previously eaten. The nachos were dry and burnt at the edges as they had very little cheese on them. My husband had jambalaya which tasted solely of spices and very little else and my Chimichanga was decidedly average. I appreciate that they are giving a 50% discount on food bills but this does not mean that 50% effort should go into preparing the food.

I took my girlfriend to mex on a Wednesday night to grab a quick bite before the pictures and was astounded with the offer they had; 50% off the entire food bill. And unlike some places the portions were HUGE! The selection was good with Mexican and American dishes. The chicken enchiladas were particularly tasty, and a good selection of drinks and cocktails, Margaritas hit the spot nicely! Where else can you get a quality 2 course meal with cocktails for less than £25 these days?!? Service was efficient but not too fussy and decor was nice and relaxing. The fireworks in the next tables birthday cake was a nice touch too....
