The environment is excellent but service, food and value were hugely disappointing. A gaggle of teenage staff ignored us on entry, setting the tone for the evening. Two starters were delivered whilst the other two in our party waited a further 15 minutes for their starter (bread & oil would you believe). The Manager promised that the main course would be trouble free. Admittedly they were all delivered together but here comes a piece of advice - avoid the Beef & Beer Pie at all costs. For £16 it contained 2 small chunks of beef, filled out by carrots and potatoes. The rest of the food was adequate but seriously over-priced. I hope we caught it on a bad day - but we will never know because it won't be getting another chance
