About The Greedy Badger at The Miller Arms

Set in the picturesque Fylde village of Singleton, the Miller Arms dates back to the seventeenth century. The pub was known for its food long before the term ‘gastropub' was invented and that fine culinary tradition continues in the guise of The Greedy Badger. Menus are built around top-quality produce and include pub classics, burgers and a popular Sunday Roast with the food complemented by a good selection of wines, spirits, cocktails and real ales .The interior has a real traditional feel with the restaurant divided into a series of intimate dining spaces, a large bar area with open fires and a beer garden. The Miller Arms is just five minutes from both Poulton and the M55.

My son, daughter in law and I had a lovely meal on Saturday night, the blonde lady whom I believe to be the landlady was very pleasant, helpful and freindly, . It's a lovely traditional pub . My steak was excellent and the fish and chips the others had was excellent as well. Thank you for great service and food. Belinda and family x

Me and my partner have been visiting this pub for a long time, food has always been insane BUT, unfortunately tonight, which we hadn’t visited for a month or so, there has been a huge change. We both ordered two Sunday dinners (one beef and one lamb) took around half an hour to come. The food arrived and the beef was chewy and gristly and the lamb was cold. There was a tiny broccoli on there and two chewy roast potatoes (a dinner cost £16.50) and the cauliflower cheese we ordered separate wasn’t cooked and had dumped runny cheese on the top. My partner complained and the waitress was so rude, she didn’t even acknowledge a lot of what we was complaining about! The waitress took my boyfriends plate away and said she would change this but never changed mine. My boyfriends came back in better condition and was at a better quality for the price we paid but mine was still like a dogs dinner, I complained again and the waitress ignored me and walked off! Such a shame as it’s always been lovely. The owner did come over in the end and apologise, but this was still a big let down and such a shame from our past experiences.

Celebrated my birthday at the Greedy Badger and I was delighted with the service and food. I chose the Beef and Marrow pie and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my party commented how wonderful the food was and also how it was piping hot too. I had a fantastic birthday and would highly recommend the Greedy Badger.

We went for our wedding anniversary. Couldn’t fault the place, nor the service, and certainly not the quality of the food! We splashed out on the “Surf n Turf Greedy Platter” which was absolutely superb. Rump steak, half rack of the most beautiful tender ribs, salmon fillet, half a dozen huge king prawns, calamari rings, chips, ciabatta and some amazingly tasty sauces and a large dollop of purple coleslaw. Wow! We are not lightweights, and we struggled to finish it all! And the wines we chose were the perfect match, her indoors had a rosé wine, I had Malbec which was smooth, fruity and full bodied. Our meal was early evening on a Sunday, and there were not a lot there, although it had obviously been busy earlier, but had a nice chat with the landlord and landlady and another four diners. We will certainly be back!

We are a group of 10 friends who go out on a regular basis for a meal together. Waitress was friendly and helpful. On the whole the food was very good. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Only niggle was length of time it took before we were served and 1 meal was a little delayed however I understand that on that night they were a chef short and we were a larger party. Would recommend and would go again all be it as a 2 or party of 4. Others in the group said the same. I would say give them a go.

We booked a table for four people at 6.30pm on 16th May. We had confirmation of our booking. We arrived with our friends to find the restaurant and bar closed and all locked up. We tried to get a response at the property and tried phoning but it rang and cut us off. We were very disappointed having turned up at the property after receiving a confirmation of our booking to find it shut with no explanation and then to receive this email asking if we enjoyed our visit!!!! Very poor treatment!!!

We tried here for the first time since it has become The Greedy Badger. We headed here for the steak night we saw advertised. It was quiet for a Friday evening but a nice warm welcome received. We wanted to order the tomahawk steak but were advised it needed to be pre-ordered which was a little disappointing. We both opted for the fillet steak. The food was amazing, hot and fresh and the steak was as good as any previously tried, homemade steak sauces were also lovely. We will definitely be returning and pre-ordering a tomahawk :)
