About Ming Wah Restaurant

Ming Wah has been a fixture of the Weymouth dining scene for more than 20 years and this family run restaurant offers a good choice of Cantonese, Szechuan and Malaysian dishes. The extensive menu offers diners eight different set dinners as well as a wide-ranging a la carte selection covering all the classics as well as Birds Nest dishes, sizzling Malaysian Rendang options and lots of seafood starters and mains. Ming Wah is fully licensed and has a takeaway and delivery service. Open from 5pm til late, Tuesday to Saturday and booking is advisable, especially at weekends.

Outstanding Meal at the Ming Wah! We attended as a couple and experienced truly exceptional food and lovely and quick service. We had the vegetarian duck with pancakes as a starter which was extremely tasty and the very definition of crispy! We also had a variety of main courses - some vegetarian and some not - and everything was superb! The vegetarian chicken is of a very high quality and it's good to see an expanded range of veggie options. The place has been refurbished with new tables and chairs and the carpet replaced with wooden flooring. It's lovely. The service was exceptional - fast and also very knowledgeable. We highly recommend the Ming Wah!

Visited Ming Wah restaurant for my Mums birthday. We were a party of 6. Even though they were very busy, the staff were very friendly and attentive. Great choice of dishes. We all ordered different dishes and we all enjoyed our meals. One dish came out not so warm, but the staff sorted it out straight away, which was very much appreciated. The meals were reasonable, but felt the drinks were a little pricey. Thank you for making my Mums birthday special.

We dicided to go against what some others said in their reviews. This was our first visit to this restaurant. We found the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing and value for money. Overall a delightful place. Whenever we visit Weymouth again, definitely a must 2nd visit.
