We have just had the most wonderful meal at this great family run restaurant . My mother had the char grilled seabass with saute potatoes, served with four fresh [ not frozen ] vegetables . I opted for the paella which was the best i have tasted in this country! Apparently rob the chef travelled to Spain to perfect this perfect dish ... mmm ..memories of andalucia ! The yellow rice was beautifully flavoured and came with a rich assortment of fish and shellfish. my father [ not so keen on seafood ] was thrilled with the sticky pork ribs , yvonne the owner told us they go through three different processes to become so tender and flavoursome ! Anyway , much recommended - i shall return as i want to try the boullabaise which is apparently superb ... mmmm hungry already and it is only 10.30 ! joanna norman [ ilfracombe ]

Very basic surroundings and very basic food, just a large unappetising plate full. Not my sort of place at all, complete lack of presentation on the plate,I can do far better at home and wished I had stayed there.

The fish was superb, the portions were huge and it was lovely that the chef came round at the end of the night to make sure everyone was happy. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic night.

The fish was very fresh and some of the best that each person in our party had had. If you go for the specials I think the fish will have been landed the same day. The sea bass had the best opinions followed by the red mullet.
The waitress needs a little brushing up on the wine list and know something about them.
