Neel Paneer – literally ‘blue cheese’ – is an Indian restaurant with a difference, not least your host Mo who provides the warmest of welcomes and lots of good advice on tackling the menu. Alongside all the British-Indian classics you might expect, there’s a good choice of Indian street food-style specials and, unusually for an Indian restaurant, a great selection of drinks with 46 gins, 20 vodkas, 30 wines as well as beers and soft drinks. The styling is contemporary with a small raised mezzanine area and funky tunes to set the tone. Neel Paneer is open seven days a week from 4.30pm til late. Takeaway is 15% off the main menu prices, takeaway or delivery.
