Ate here Sunday Evening and what a lovely meal we had. Visited with my husband and chose of the Sunday lunch menu, which is actually on all day!! Had homemade pate which was delicious followed by a home cooked lamb dinner. Couldnt fault any of it and was refreshing to eat somewhere that everything was obviously made by the cooks. Lovely place to, very clean and cosy. Great atmosphere and staff all friendly and service spot on. Will definatley pay another visit perhaps for the Early Bird which seemed great value.

Ate here last night with my husband and had a lovely evening. Everything was spot on. The restaurant has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly and pleasant which in my experience makes a change these days !! The food was also great ,my husband had a steak with a Jack Daniels sauce which was homemade and delicious , I had the lamb cutlets which were also excellent .A very enjoyable evening also the very reasonably priced house red is worth a recommendation all on its own . Outstanding !

My partner and I recently visited the Steakhouse because we thought it would be a great place for steaks. I thought a medium steak should be at least a little pink in the middle, but mine was well over cooked. Bit disappointed in the service we had to ask for menus because they forgot about us. My partner had a lamb henry but it tasted like a boil in the bag one. They did offer to knock something off the bill but very disappointed and we wont be going back. I am completely baffled by the disparity in some of the reviews here.

Dissapointing that the owner spends more time manipulating reviews than upping his game with the preparation of his food. The reputation of this resteraunt in Knott End is poor and for good reason. Amazing that so many young people decided to review this resteraunt on May 12th for a village the size of Knott End and also that they submitted the same reviews on Tripadvisor the very same day. Also coincidentsl that reviewers complimented the same meals as we did not enjoy. Come on Steakhouse employ a chef and restore the reputation of this fine resteraunt. I will continue to submit honest reviews.

Well what a great meal!!! We visited the to Steakhouse to celebrate my Mum 's Birthday, there was quite a large party, 10 people, and we had a great night. . All the food came out at the same time and was piping hot, and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Sirloin steak and it was cooked exactly to my liking, it was melt in your mouth. Oh and the ice cream Sundae is a must! You get a bit of everything all flavours of ice cream flake, skittles Mmmmm it was delicious, needless to say there was nothing left!!!!! This is our second visit in the last couple of months and I have to say it is finally nice to have a restaurant close to home with excellent food and atmosphere. Before the refurb it had gone down hill but it is Definitely back on track now and I will be visiting again very soon!!

Having visited here last bank holiday weekend, the steakhouse was busy and to be honest I am not surprised! Our family enjoyed a lovely meal, top quality. The service was great and we are looking to book again for next bank holiday (a tradition in our family to eat out together on bank holidays). We are definitely looking forward to visiting again. Well done to all the staff, keep it up.

We have eaten here a few times recently and we were extremely pleased with the food and services. Fantastic quality food and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Will be eating here again.

I have recently visited and the food was spontaneous! The service was great and lovely waitress. I had the duck and it was very moist and reasonable pricing! It had a wonderful atmosphere and the food is definitely up to scratch would strongly recommend to go here 10/10.

Well after reading last review can only say we must have visited different restaurant!!!! Had a wonderful night with friends and found the service and food excellent. We all had steak which we all agreed was as near to perfect as you can get . The decor is also spot on - really cosy and intimate. Well worth the drive and have booked for my wife's birthday - can't wait .

We visited the New Village Steakhouse this week for the first time since it reopened. I was looking forward to a well cooked steak meal on payday and my partner and I were sorely disappointed. My tiger prawn starter with was literally three small prawns and my partners chicken livers were overpowered by the taste of balsamic vinegar. The main courses were overpriced and tasteless. £20.00 for a 7 oz fillet was average but it was so small I found it hiding in the shadows of the flat mushroom sitting next to it. Allegedly my steak was medium cooked, but I found it to be was tougher than Toxteth. My partners duck breast was rubbery and would have left Luis Suerez needing new dentures. On the plus side the Becks was on form and the waitress service was great. However I felt sorry for the waitresses having to bring out such awful quality food. We paid and left without finishing our meals .This was in its day a well respected eating establishment, but on this form there is a lot of work to do to regain its reputation. Chippy over the road.
