A disappointment from start to finish......
We were seated 45 minutes after we arrived for our reservation, and were informed that there were at least 5 dishes on the menu that were no longer available (wonder if they were the edible dishes?!).
Our starters arrived and although the leek and mushroom dish was fairly nice, the duck leg terrine was unremarkable at best - the flavour of the meat being totally non-descript.
However, the real disappointment was the main course. The monkfish supposedly wrapped in ham was barely edible and was served with the biggest plate of foul tasting vegetables i've ever paid for. All the veg both looked and tasted like it was straight out of a tin. The pigeon, pheasant and guinea fowl roulade was over cooked to the point of tasting stodgy in your mouth, and yet again served with suspiciously evenly cut, foul tasting vegetables.
By this point we couldn't bare even look at the dessert menu, so no comments there i'm afraid.
At around 6 pounds for a starter and 18 pounds for a main course this place is a total rip off. I cannot remember the last time i actively disliked food in a restaurant so much. Definately not one to recommend.
