About Olive Tree

The Olive Tree is a family owned Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Bridport in Dorset. Everything is cooked to order here in the open kitchen using fresh, local produce that’s sourced from local growers and fishermen as much as possible with suppliers namechecked on the website. Seafood is a speciality but the lunch and evening menus offer an extensive choice. The Olive Tree is open every day for both lunch and dinner and it’s known throughout the county for it’s great food and friendly service. And if you’re planning a private party or event, there is an upstairs private dining room available.

Such a lovely restaurant. A real treat to eat here. The fish is second to none and so fresh and delicate. The vegetables are always a main event in themselves and such a lovely variety (samphire, white beetroot, carrot, sugar snap etc) rather than the usual carrots and peas many places offer. As a gluten free customer the fact that they don’t bulk out sauces etc with flour is a real plus.

We were visiting Bridport for the weekend and our host recommended the olive tree and we were so pleased we went as the food was amazing very friendly staff . The owner was very gracious with his time to come and talk to us and share the delicious recipe for one of his desserts . I have a food allergy and it was not a problem for the chef he changed my meal so I could enjoy his delicious food . The food was cooked to order and all locally sourced which I love . We would definitely recommend this restaurant it’s a gem in Bridport. THANK YOU
