About Olive Tree

The Olive Tree is a family owned Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Bridport in Dorset. Everything is cooked to order here in the open kitchen using fresh, local produce that’s sourced from local growers and fishermen as much as possible with suppliers namechecked on the website. Seafood is a speciality but the lunch and evening menus offer an extensive choice. The Olive Tree is open every day for both lunch and dinner and it’s known throughout the county for it’s great food and friendly service. And if you’re planning a private party or event, there is an upstairs private dining room available.

We had a great dinner at the Olive Tree. Been there before albeit many years ago and being in Bridport again it was a good choice for our "celebration" dinner. The catch of the day was seabass and it tasted exquisit. Great starters & desserts & wine as well. Good & pleasant service. Very recommended.

We were a party of 5 and having looked online at menus in various other places we felt The Olive Tree showed much more variation than all the same old burgers, steaks and pies. We were glad we went as the food was wonderful, the staff extremely lovely and everything faultless. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend The Olive Tree

This was our third visit to The Olive Tree in recent years, all taking place while visiting this part of Dorset. It was great to see the standards being as high as ever, from the cooking through to the wonderful staff. One particular dish of note was a wonderfully fresh portion of Hake which had tremendous flavour and texture.
