On our quest to find the best Chinese takeaway in Kilwinning, our next stop was the Orchid Garden. We ordered a takeaway delivery, which arrived pretty quickly. The chips and gravy (my benchmark for a good Chinese due to me ordering only that from a very early age) was great. Nearly as good as The Panda House in Glasgow's Southside, which we used regularly whilst living there. The staff were very accommodating, and added loads of extra green chillies as we requested, giving each dish an extra kick. Just the way we like it. The Mixed Satay was very good, with the extra kick. Loads of meat in there. And the Singapore Chow Mein was up there with our favourite place in Glasgow. We asked for them to make it with the really thin vermicelli noodles, which they did. So far, the Orchid Garden is our favourite Chinese in Kilwinning. It makes us happy. Oh yes. We will definitely be using them again, probably tonight!!!
