Lovely afternoon tea with fresh rustic bread and plenty of filling. Fruit, scones with clotted cream and delicious jam. Plenty of tea. Delicious had to take our cake home as too full.

The last time we were here was five years ago, and it was a 5-star experience. The venue remains the same, and the staff are lovely; however, the food is not as good as it was before. The tea was weak (practically water), the scones weren't as fresh as they were last time, and my granary bread sandwich was made with seeded bread. We took our cake with us, and even that wasn't great. Sad to see it closing, but maybe it's time for a change. New owners are on the way . . .

Birthday afternoon tea for my coeliac (gluten free) boyfriend. They had gluten free versions for pretty much everything. I wish more eateries would do this because being coeliac is not a choice and is very limiting for people who suffer from the condition. The sandwiches and cakes were fantastic! Best we've had in a cafe. The scones were a bit dry (regular and gluten free). I recommend working on those and publicising once you have a new and improved recipe.

Went here Sunday afternoon for my mums birthday with friends. Heard really good reviews which was why we booked. But I was disappointed the sandwich choice we wanted had gone. Obviously not going to make up more for us. The way the cream and jam was presented in a cup certainly wasn’t the way I would present it. It didn’t look appealing at all. Staff were lovely just a let down with the food selection. Then leaving the toilets were disgusting. So not a pleasant experience. So t think I would go again. Sorry I don’t like writing bad reviews but we were all disappointed.

Booked afternoon tea as a birthday treat for a friend on Saturday April 26th. What a lovely experience! We've had afternoon tea in many other places over the years and the sandwiches we had here were certainly the best we've had! So fresh with a good choice of filling and plently of it and as for the bread it was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and service was exceptional, thank you!

Went yesterday for sister in-laws birthday treat Food was lovely , but had to keep going downstairs to ask for more coffee. Went to use the ladies toilets they were absolutely filthy lovely location Will i go back that’s no from me
