The Pheasant is a thatched, country gastropub located in the picturesque Cambridgeshire village of Keyston. Beautifully decorated, it has oak-beamed ceilings inside and an extensive outdoor dining area. The pub has a long history as THE destination dining pub in the county and is a regular in the Good Pub Guide, Good Food Guide and Michelin Guide with a long-held reputation for its wine list. Expect modern British cuisine with a wide range of European influences. Head Chef Martin Russell was previously running the kitchens at the nearby Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon and Simply Heathcote’s Manchester and Signature dishes include ‘Beef Bourguignon’ Steamed Suet Pudding, with buttery mashed potato, green beans, wild mushroom red wine sauce; Seared Tuna Loin on Niçoise salad; Homemade black pudding on crushed potatoes topped with a poached egg & gravy; Ginger sponge pudding with butterscotch sauce & vanilla ice cream and Armagnac parfait with Agen prunes & Earl Grey syrup. Open Wednesday to Sunday.
