About Pig and Whistle

The Pig & Whistle is a traditional stone-built, oak-beamed Robinsons pub situated in the popular village of Cartmel, known for its sticky toffee pudding, racecourse and priory. The Pig offers proper food in a proper pub with a small but perfectly formed locals bar, serving a wide range of cask and keg ales, and a bistro dining area. In summer, the south-facing beer garden, which overlooks Cartmel Priory and the surrounding countryside, is a great place to catch the sunset.

Great evening meal at the Pig & Whistle! Was very busy in the pub and felt like the staff were pretty rushed off their feet but all very friendly and the food was really good. Can highly recommend the lasagne bites and the burnt ends!

Went for lunch with family. We had 6 small plates and a fish and chips. Food was excellent and we ate on the beer garden which was lovely. We'll definitely go back.

Came to the pig and whistle for food whilst staying at Haven Lakeland. Food was amazing we ordered a Father’s Day big sharer and it was unreal. Service was great would highly recommend this restaurant.
