True success in catering for the public is not just measured by the quality of your food, the value you offer, the presentation and the atmosphere you achieve. Really enjoyed our lunch at Poppies Cafe. I had the cottage pie which was excellent and great value at £5.95. My wife had a huge omlette and chips. With drinks the bill was £15 and worth every penny. Left full and satisfied with cash in my wallet for Xmas shopping! Will return when in Ulverston

Quite honestly it is worth a trip to Ulverston just to visit Poppies for lunch or coffee and a cake. What a lovely place. Friendly staff, great food and drink. A real gem in a smashing little market town.
