Set in the heart of beautiful Dartmoor, the award-winning Prince Hall Hotel boasts a rich heritage stretching right back to the 15th century. The current building dates from 1787 and was converted into an eight-bedroom hotel and fine dining restaurant as recently as 1985. The hotel's smart 22-cover restaurant is open to non-residents for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, and enjoys splendid views out towards the River Dart. Prince Hall is a Taste Of The West Gold award winner with daily changing menus based firmly on locally sourced seasonal produce. You might start with a Ballotine of Pheasant served with Spiced Potatoes and Redcurrant Jus followed by Loin of Westcountry Venison with Celeriac Fondant, Tastes of Beetroot, Confit Shallots, Tender-stem Broccoli, Carrot Ribbons, Chorizo Crumb and Chocolate Sauce and for dessert Chocolate Truffle Cake with Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta Coffee Brûlée, Toasted Cinnamon Brioche.
