Hadn't realised the chef trained at La Gavroche - NOW I understand.
Because the food coming out of the kitchen, both during the day, and even more so in the evening when it turns into the romantic bistro Odd Shoes, is faultless.
Such a welcoming place for children and adults, I'm stunned this is tucked away in Altrincham, which appears to have turned into a ghost town.
I have been lucky enough to have eaten in some of the best restaurants in London (Benares/Smiths of Smithfield)
Queenie Mumbles/Odd Shoes is exactly what a dining experience should be all about.
Welcoming and reassuring enough to know the chef can let his food do the talking.
Can't recommend the place too much.
