Raffaello Restaurant is situated right on the square in the village of Guide Post at Choppington, midway between Morpeth and the Northumbrian coast. It’s an authentic Italian eatery and you are assured a warm welcome from owner Nico and his team. The menu offers plenty of choice whether you fancy a vegetarian risotto, oven-baked halibut with olives, a traditional lasagne or their signature dessert, Amaretto Tart. And of course there are plenty of other pizza and pasta options. Rafaello Restaurant is open from 5pm until late on Mondays and Tuesdays and right through from 12 noon until late the rest of the week.

Visited with family for a catch up and enjoyed a relaxing, tasty meal served by friendly staff. Delicious Italian food in a bright and cheerful atmosphere. Excellent carbonara! Buon appetite! Will return to sample more.

We have been here a few times recently and never had a complaint. Came as a group & a couple and both times the service & food has been without fault. The staff are super attentive & help create a really relaxed atmosphere. There’s a server who is broad Geordie (don’t know his name) and he is the best in any restaurants in the area , the food is always nice & nothing is to much trouble. We will be coming back more & highly recommend for any occasion - from a group of you to just a couple. It is a little pricier than some of the ‘chain Italians’ but they do set meals like a happy hour, which is good value.
