About Raph’s Lounge

Raph’s Lounge in Cottingham is a dining and entertainment venue with a regular roster of live music every Thursday and Saturday night. It’s open seven days a week from 11am serving food right through the day and into the evening. The main menu offers an extensive choice of Greek and Italian dishes including gyros, souvlaki, pizza and pasta plus a burger selection too. Food is served until 8pm and then the tables cleared down for the live entertainment from 9pm onwards. Raph’s Lounge has a great selection of drinks too including a special cocktail list.

Have been here b4 and absolutely love the food the deco is lovely the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food is to die for there are plenty of offers lunch time specials and the original menu out of the 8 of us only 2 had been b4 but the other 6 said they would definitely come back

Sadly the time it took for our order to arrive was far too long, nearly an hour. The restaurant was not busy with only two other tables occupied. One of which were already eating. The other table waiting also expressed concern at their delay of over an hour. When our food arrived, although my four friends were happy with theirs, I was not. I had ordered a cheese and red onion omelette. There was not any cheese in it. I advised the waitress when she came after about 10 - 15 minutes of us all starting to eat, to check that all was OK with the food. I ate my meal as I did not wish to wait any longer to eat, which I obviously would have had to do as the 3rd table received their good after us despite ordering previously. I would not ever fault the front of house staff. In fact I felt sorry for them as they were the ones receiving the complaints, not the kitchen, which is where whatever problem lay. We visited this restaurant as two of our party had been on numerous occasions previously and had recommended it. Unfortunately I will not be visiting this restaurant again, and I would not recommend it either.

Lovely meal, very knowledgeable about gluten free which as a coeliac very important. Was served by a lady whose daughter was coeliac which put me at ease. Staff very pleasant.

Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Food service was very slow considering ther was only 3 tables in to eat. Food unfortunately isn't as it used to be. This place was always our go to, but unfortunately we won't visit again. Food quality has gone really gone down. The burger I had was dry, and the calzone my parter had was well over cooked. 50mim wait for food was way to much.

Visited Sat eve for food and drinks. Online booking hadnt gone through but luckily they had a table. Food was ok. Good portions and chunky chips were definitely the highlight. Would say prices were on the higher end for the quality of food. Stayed for thr band after our food who were brilliant and definitely made the night. Staff were friendly and checked in to make sure all was ok.
