About Red Mezze

Red Mezze on Leazes Park Road has been a fixture of the Newcastle dining scene for more than a decade. This Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant with its distinct red décor and Turkish memorabilia adorning the walls is close to both the University and football stadium and is open seven days a week from 11.30am right through until late. The charcoal grill is always fired up and both meat skewers and their Mixed Grill are house specialities. But there is loads of choice on the menu including hot and cold mezze plates, BBQ dishes, fish and vegetarian options. There are great-value special deals available too at lunch and early evening. The restaurant can seat 75 diners and there is a function room with space for up to 20 people. Takeaway can be ordered through Deliveroo.

Took a friend for her birthday. Staff very friendly and attentive. Had the 2 courses for £12.50. Food amazing and presented very well. Even though we were very full had to have desert. Highly recommend if you haven’t been before.

Love this little gem. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is out of this world and very reasonable. Quite an extensive menu and also for the ones who can’t make their mind up (me) they have a 2 course special with a choice of about 7-8 starters and mains. We will decently be back.
