We celebrated my mum’s 96th birthday with a Sunday lunch for 11 people. The table was decorated beautifully and food served promptly as we had pre ordered. The food was tasty and well presented. It was very good value for money. Staff were attentive but we didn’t feel hurried to finish eating and leave. We will hopefully book again next year as this has become a family tradition.

We arrived early and had coffee which was lovely the place inside ( function room was pretty . Coffe god at1pm we ordered a pie chips etc they had run out . So my brother ordered gougons . My sis and I had quiche and salad chips but they had run out of salad and the chips were for me unbeatable as there was some sort of seasoning which was very salty and not nice . I ate the quich but that wasn’t homemade the gougons were dry and again no salad so I would not go back . A shame as service and place were very good

A rather disappointing experience. Queue to the door, which I duly waited in (until spotting a server) as we had booked a table prior to arrival, taken to our reserved table to find someone else seated there. Given an alternative after a brief wait whilst she checked the seating plan. Lunch menu was very limited, gluten free even more so. No at table ordering so duly waited again to order drinks and meals, having negated my way through the waiting queue. Drinks were given and again I had to negate my way through the queue with a tray full of drinks in order to return to the table. Teas were luke warm at best and no extra hot water offered. The gluten free panini, turned out to be gluten free bread! Quiche was nice, however, the chips served, were again not very warm. Second round for coffees and cake, once more into the breach to join the queue, this time having to try to fight my way back to our table twice with trays laden with coffee and cake. Gluten free option had been labelled iincorrectly as carrot cake when it was in fact a caramel cake. On return to table I had to clear away our meal detritus in order to have room for our coffees and cakes. All in all, despite the beautiful surroundings and what could be made into an outstanding experience, very disappointed.

Thank you for a lovely Easter Sunday breakfast which I had booked for our wedding anniversary . It was a special surprise to be greeted by the Easter bunny & chick & madhatter! The tables were set out beautifully with a lovely Easter theme & the food was delicious made extra special by the glass of Prosecco given to us to celebrate our anniversary! A lovely experience all round - thank you to all the staff that made it that way!

The cafe is great with a great atmosphere. We booked in advance but as we were there fairly early maybe unless you are arriving after 11am maybe that’s not nescessary. The staff are very professional and treated us with a smile. The food was good and we received everything together which we appreciated. Would definitely recommend this cafe. Xxx

Fully recommend Renishaw hall and gardens for a lovely day out. We booked an afternoon tea at the cafe which was both varied and lovely. The hot sausage roll and mini quiche were cooked to perfection. The food was very tasty and we had enough refills of coffee and tea. The service was fabulous and very friendly. The surroundings very comfortable. All the staff onsite were extremely helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again and recommend it to anyone. The gardens were beautiful as were the woodlands and we loved the fairy trail too!

Four of us ordered coffees and brunch on Sunday last. Sadly it was not the positive experience we had hoped. The coffee wasn’t great, lukewarm warm and harsh flavour (tho I know flavour is a personal thing). Our breakfasts took over 20mins to arrive, which would have been ok had the breakfast been of excellent quality, sadly it was not. The bacon had been cooked and left in a warm place, it was very hard in texture, the sausage wasn’t a good texture either, cold toast and no butter. The food was warm at best. We were asked if everything was ok, but given how long the food had taken to arrive the thought of something being redone we didn’t say anything at that point. I hadn’t visited was the cafe before, it’ll be a while before I go again.
