About Rileys Taproom and Wine Bar

Just round the corner from Chorley Market and the St George’s Quarter, Rileys Taproom and Wine Bar is owned and run by husband-and-wife team Michael and Jules Riley. Good beer is Michael’s passion and there are 14 beers on tap and two on cask. Julie handles the wine list and cocktails with 25 wines now available by the glass. The menu offers a selection of small plates and sharing platters based around locally sourced produce and crafted to complement the extensive wine and beer selection. Rileys has a welcoming vibe with plenty of seating inside and a small suntrap terrace out front. There is also live music here on alternate Sunday afternoons.

The beer selection was excellent, offering great variety and quality, while the wine and food were truly exceptional—each dish clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. The service stood out as well—prompt, professional, and efficient without ever feeling rushed. It really added to the overall experience. What I loved most was the ambiance: warm, welcoming, and friendly, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy great company. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for such a high-quality experience. Highly recommended.

We are regulars at Riley's tap room and Riley's loft. Yesterday we went to both and both were packed solid with happy customers which is nice to see. Luckily we had a table booked at the tap room at 5.30. Every seat was full and people were also standing drinking. The poor staff were run off their feet but very friendly. Toilets were clean, food was faultless and wine flights, cocktails and coffee perfect as always. It's a shame you don't have a bigger premises as so many people walked away because there was no room at the Inn! Glad you are doing so well Chorley was packed and booming in the pubs yesterday. It is fast becoming the in place for afternoon drinkers

Excellent as usual. Great atmosphere, best choice of drinks and lovely food. We had the deli and cheese platter but the staff were happy to swap some items. Never hesitate to eat and drink here, you won’t be disappointed
