For a true taste of the Caribbean in Hull, Roots Rum Shack and Kitchen is the place to go. It’s open from noon until midnight, seven days a week, with food served right through until 9pm weekdays and 10pm weekends. The main menu offers all the Caribbean classics you might expect with dishes like Papa G’s Curry Goat, Jerk Belly Pork, Trinidadian Chicken Roti and Big Man Jerk Ribs. There’s also burgers, curries and chicken with your choice of marinade and side. A great-value lunch menu here too as well as special deals on food and Caribbean-inspired cocktails throughout the week. Roots is also a great place to party with the bar open through to midnight and live DJs Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm.
