About The Royal Oak

Set in the quiet village of Worleston, near Nantwich, the Royal Oak has undergone a complete restoration and re-opened in April 2022. The new-look country pub boasts a 70-seat dining/function room, a hand-built curved bar, electric vehicle charging points, a wood-fired pizza oven, and two outdoor summer pavilions. Set within four acres, the outdoor space is a glorious beer garden with outside bars and a children’s play area. Expect fantastic beer, local ales and classic British food surrounded by log fires, armchairs and familiar faces.

We held an 80th birthday event on 3 December for over 35 people of mixed ages. The food was lovely, it was well organised and the staff providing service were above and beyond amazing. We loved it. You all deserve praise and a big thank you from us,

Went to the Royal Oak for my husbands birthday and unfortunately we where very disappointed. The black pudding stack was actually quite nice but my husband did not really his fish cakes. With high hopes for the famous club sandwich, I was confronted with really chewy dry chicken that I couldn’t and didn’t eat, my husband had the stew with not very fresh mash that was stodgy and you had to chop into it with your fork and a quite hard dumpling. We won’t be going again.

What a great meal we had. I told the Landlord he needed to lock chef up! After fish starters I had a sirloin and my wife stuffed chicken. Food presentation, quality and service were first class. Simply outstanding for pub food. Prices were good as well. First class!

We visited for the first time on Sunday as a table as ten. We pre booked food a week beforehand as requested. Mains came out around 40 minutes after we were sat down. We were kept up to date with how long they were going to be which was good. Service was brilliant can’t fault the staff at all. Sunday lunches were good, desserts not so much but won’t put us off coming back. Lovely evening.

We came last night for food, a group of 7. The staff were lovely, and the overall atmosphere was very nice however my partner had a curry which was really not the best (this was fed back and knocked off our bill which was really appreciated). The rest of the food was fine, some meals were enjoyed more than others. I think a few areas of improvement are needed in the quality of food but overall a nice place.
