About The Royal Oak Watford Heath

The Royal Oak has a great location on the edge of Watford Heath and the Grade II-listed building has been given a new lease of life after a recent makeover. Experienced restaurateurs Lee and Sue Colbert have revitalised the classic old pub, giving it a South African twist. You can dine inside or out and their home-cooked meals use the best locally sourced ingredients. Expect their take on a traditional British menu infused with a taste of their native city Durban. The chicken wings are legendary. Food is served from 4pm Tuesday to Thursday and from 12 noon Friday to Sunday.

I’m afraid I’ve only just seen this whilst clearing out emails! Sorry! Can't remember the date we came for Sunday lunch with my sister, but we had a delicious roast meal and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Had a fantastic lunch staff friendly and helpful. A really quaint setting for Sunday lunch. Food was amazing and a great choice of food. Probably one little criticism is the roast potatoes were a bit aunt Bessie's. The rest of the food was excellent.

Been coming to this pub for more than 30 years seen many new landlords etc ! Something right for me to keep coming back… Food was good , mine was a tad dry but probably chose the wrong thing we were 5 and all said how nice food was. Friday lunch time quiet to start but got busier as the day went on !
