Stumbled across this restaurant on a weekend away. What a fantastic place to eat. a gem in the middle of a big city. Beautiful flavours. Served with a smile. Staff are wonderful. Everything enjoyed in a lovely building. A must to eat if you are in the city.

Sat night 7.30 and the place was dead!!! the waitress spent virtually the whole time we were there chatting loudly with a customer at the table next to ours, the food was reasonable but the wine was lovely, we wont be coming back, and we wont be recommending it either!! must try harder!

seven of us went on a Saturday night and we all thought it was good. for me though, i can't see anybody beating chaophraya for thai food. i'm gonna try the others in town though before i really big 'em up. i'd like to see our city's football club represented in some of them, now that their former pm is leading us to the promised land.

My husband and I are regulars every Sunday and the only time we miss is when we go on holiday. We have tried other Thai restaurants in Manchester and always come back here. The staff are very polite and friendly and we always feel very welcome. I would recommend this Thai to everyone.

Great Meal Best Thai in MANCHESTER for value and quality. Have been to the newly opened Thai restaurants but they cant compete with the food served here. Very Good.

Definitely one of the best meals I have ever had. Went at lunchtime and had a starter, main meal, dessert, including drinks for less than £20. Fantastic quality and value.

I have been to the Royal Orchid for the first time this week and I am on my third lunch there. The food is fabulous and very reasonable 5.00 pounds for a quick lunch. I am trying the buffet tomorrow 5.50 (friday). Best Thai I have ever had.

My partner and I regularly re-visit this place, it really is a guaranteed great dining experience by all criteria. The staff are unfailingly friendly (not merely courteous), the menu is the most extensive of the Thais in the city centre) and the prices are very reasonable. Great range of starters and very wide stir fry menu to suit all tastes. Very spacious too with tables spaced apart enough to afford privacy (unlike some of it's competitors nearby!). Well recommended.
