I've never felt so relaxed at this place. It is so amazing and the staff are wonderful.

We went for our Ruby Wedding. 22 of us had a lovely night. Aslo had my 60th there.

Sometimes great, sometimes definitely not but today was the last straw. Waited at the bar whilst 4 staff chatted and eventually bought drinks and placed our order. Pizza night, you'd think they would have the ingredients to produce what they offer or, at least admit that they haven't and decline the order. If you run out of mozzarella cheese, ham and seafood it's impossible to produce a marinara (seafood) pizza or a ham and pineapple pizza. Our meals took a long time to arrive and we should not have bothered waiting! I have never had a pizza made with cheddar cheese before. Ham and pineapple is not so good when it's just pineapple and sludgy warm cheddar. Tomatoes and a few slivers of smoked salmon are definitely not seafood and when I came across tuna, which I detest, buried in the cheddar sludge, we both decided to cut our losses. Stopped at Asda on the way home and ate at 10.00. Not a great evening out.

My (very new) husband and I decided that we wanted to do something small and intimate for our special day... just our closest friends and family, no big do with discos or children's entertainers. We looked at a few places to go for our quiet meal, and Rueters on Hoghton looked the nicest, and once we had sampled the food, we were sure that this was the place we wanted. The day was absolutely perfect, with owners that couldn't do enough to make the day as special as we wanted. The food was beyond amazing and the staff were fab, making sure that everyone had drinks and a good time. They even made extra effort with my 86yr old Nan who is unfortunately wheelchair bound and was unable to transfer to a regular chair, and our pesky 2 year old, making her a child's meal and making sure she was able to be seated with us at the head table!!I would recommend this restaurant to absolutely anyone and everyone, I know hubby and I will certainly be back for regular visits!!

Been a few times within the past year and noticed that the standard has slipped in the past month. Even to the extent of the food being cold when it eventually came

We have made this our local. It has never let us down for a good night out or just as somewhere to go for a good, and definitely value for money meal. The bar and restaurant staff are attentive but not intrusive. Always a good atmosphere, always good entertainment. The management have put together a good place to be and maintain it very well.

Used to be a good place to eat but the standard has slipped within the last few months. Food cold and very delayed

I visited this restaurant with a party of 40 people a few weeks ago for a 40th birthday celebration. The Restaurant only had seating for 32 on arrival. They had only ONE waiter serving. The manger (I think called Rob of which no other staff member would volunteer his name) was extremely unhelpful, uncaring, unsympathetic and down right rude to a number of members of the party of whom were visibly upset by his conduct. I would not recommend this Restaurant venue to anyone. I shall be writing to the Southport Tourist Board about the Managers conduct that evening.
