About Sage and Vine

Sage and Vine is a new Carlisle eatery specialising in Mediterranean tapas, mezze and pizza. There are nine different pizzas to choose from, all served piping hot from the Valoriani wood-fired pizza oven and they also do sharing boards and dips as well as small plates such as Patatas Bravas, Cod Cheeks and Glazed Chorizo. The food is complemented by a good selection of wines, beers and cocktails. Sage and Vine is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday, right through from 12 noon.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were looked after. Excellent service the food was excellent I’ve never tasted anything like it. The Romanian lady knew her menu front and back she even put together our meal which was perfect xx worth every penny xx

Wonderful food, great menu, efficient and attentive service, simply nothing to fault. They even managed to accommodate us arriving early for our table. Will happily come here again next time we visit Carlisle. Highly recommended. 5/5.

Busy restaurant for lunch we got the last table for two. Service was great, no waiting, had a selection of small plates, lovely food, nice atmosphere despite the intimate space when busy, we will return.

I was highly recommended Sage and vine and very disappointed. The food was a bit tastles. The mussels we had were flavourless. The calamari were nkt crispy and a lot of it was spicy even though wasn't stated on the menu there will be anything spicy in it . We had 2 deserts that had alcohol in them and the 2 kids that had them were never asked about their age so assumed they were alcohol free. Wouldn't go back .
